Question:Do you have to wash this before first use?

Answer:There is a long flexible straw that goes into the jug; and would recommend washing the straw that goes into the drinking water.

Question:Do you have to hold the button to get water or can you press for on and then again to stop water flow?

Answer:Press for in and press for off however it has a timer and shuts off after a minute or so if you’re filling something large.

Question:Does it heat up?

Answer:No temperature control at all. Just a water pump.

Question:Does it include the hose/straw?

Answer:Yes it comes with hose but it only sits on top of bottle neck. Loud but not to bad works great for me haven’t used it much but holds a good charge.cant go wrong buying one.
